For Thanksgiving 2014, my coworker Sam Petulla and I wanted to create something both fun and informative. We took a look at the cost of an average American Thanksgiving meal and how it has changed over the past 30 years.

Because the data was not super compelling, we thought of an interesting, interactive way for users to rack up the cost of their virtual "meals."

While Sam handled all the crazy behind-the-scenes coding, I did the illustrations and design of the page. This was definitely one of the funnest projects I worked on, but it also effectively served as a piece of informative storytelling.
